Tin and Tallow Burgers has officially opened its doors in Hilton Head Island, transitioning from a popular food truck to a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Owners Tyler and Josi Bowdish aim to provide a cozy dining atmosphere with a simple yet delicious menu featuring mouthwatering burgers and breakfast options. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, this new eatery is expected to quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
Exciting news is buzzing around Hilton Head Island as the highly anticipated Tin and Tallow Burgers officially opens its doors! Located at 2 Spanish Wells Road, this new brick-and-mortar restaurant is the result of hard work and perseverance from owners Tyler and Josi Bowdish, who made a leap of faith by moving from Michigan to pursue their restaurant dreams.
Since October 2023, the couple has been tantalizing taste buds with their popular food truck. The transition from a food truck to a full-fledged restaurant took less than a year and a half, a testament to their dedication and passion. Previously, the space was home to Jarvis Creek General Store, but now it’s transforming into a culinary hotspot with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that’s going to draw in both locals and tourists alike.
Initially, their food truck gained traction slowly, thanks primarily to word-of-mouth from family and friends. However, the visibility they received from local establishments, notably Locals Only, made a huge difference. As they established their four rotation spots for the food truck, their loyal customers kept coming back, leading to a core following that has now transitioned to the restaurant.
One of the exciting aspects of Tin and Tallow Burgers is their deliciously simple menu. While they are known for their mouthwatering burger creations, the restaurant will also serve breakfast, a feature that has already piqued local interest. Open six days a week (closed on Monday) with plans to go full-time by Spring 2024, breakfast enthusiasts will enjoy serving hours from 7:30 am to 10:30 am and then the lunch and dinner crowd will be welcomed from 11:30 am to 8 pm. You can expect a small breakfast menu to start, featuring fan-favorite burgers, alongside weekly specials that are sure to keep things fresh and exciting.
There’s more than just food at Tin and Tallow Burgers! The owners have transformed the interior of the venue to create a stunning dining space, perfect for enjoying meals in comfort while being sheltered from the weather. The outdoor seating and added televisions are also sure to be popular as guests gather to watch their favorite shows while digging into their burgers.
As they continue to build their brand, Tyler and Josi are already thinking about the future. They have plans for a variety of exciting menu additions, including feature sandwiches, a special kids’ menu, and possibly even new side options like crispy onion rings! Plus, they are eyeing the prospect of expanding their food truck operations with a new mobile unit set for Spring 2024. This duo is clearly laying down some serious roots in the Low Country food scene!
If you’re looking for a new dining experience on the island, Tin and Tallow Burgers is definitely worth a visit. With a focus on comfort and enjoyment, every meal there promises to be a delight. Grab some friends, head to 2 Spanish Wells Road, and dive into the tasty offerings that are sure to make waves in Hilton Head Island.
