Multiple Shootings Under Investigation on St. Helena Island

Beaufort County, S.C. – A calm Thursday evening took a shocking turn when the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) rushed to the scene of a pair of shootings on St. Helena Island, leaving the community on edge and searching for answers.

The Incident Unfolds

At around 7:27 p.m., the BCSO received a call indicating a suspected gunshot wound. When deputies arrived at Peaches Hill Circle, they found a victim inside his car, suffering from a gunshot wound. As emergency responders began to assess the situation, they realized that the initial shooting took place near Lands End Road and Scott Hill Road.

But as if the situation couldn’t escalate any further, while deputies were gathering information from the first scene, they heard gunfire erupting from the Scott Hill Road area. Officers quickly turned their attention to the sound, where they discovered a home that had been shot at several times. Thankfully, no further injuries were reported at that location.
