Hey, mates! Have you ever dreamt of flipping pancakes on steel griddles, icing rich pound cakes, or managing a bustling restaurant in the culinary arena? Sounds like a gastronomic dream, doesn’t it? Well, time to wake up and smell the garlic! A golden opportunity is right on your doorstep, folks!
The Culinary Institute of the South at the Technical College of the Lowcountry has got an amazing Enrollment Expo coming up. In case you missed the first enrollment galore, not to worry! The institute is rolling out a second-round for you guys on the 16th of September. And guess what? Their brand-new campus at the New River Campus, Bluffton is going to be the venue. Don’t you dare miss out on this one!
So, you’ve got a knack for culinary arts, but you’re scratching your head about the paperwork, scholarships, and financial aid. No more worries! The expo will have faculty and support staff ready to help you out on this front. They’ll guide you all the way from eligibility to application assistance and whatnot!
Oh, and talking about campus, their spanking new academic nest at Buckwalter Place, Bluffton is shaping up and will be ready for students when the term begins in October. They’re planning to host a grand gala opening party in November, but hey, you’d be already loving the place by then!
If you’re interested (well, who wouldn’t be?), jot down the timing somewhere safe – the expo is already knocking at your doors from 4 to 6 in the evening this Thursday.
The Technical College of the Lowcountry’s culinary arm isn’t just about cookeries and cutleries. It’s a massive 29,000 square-foot training facility blended perfectly with academic classrooms, teaching kitchens, baking labs, a lecture theater, and an illustrative restaurant. Imagine learning your art right in the middle of an operable eat-out!
The cherry on top? Well, they’re planning to unveil an interactive museum aka FOODseum which will narrate the tale of Southern food. Ain’t that exciting?
At the Culinary Institute, you can choose from three areas- Baking & Pastry, Culinary, and Hospitality. You can either opt for an associate’s degree or lay your hands on a certificate in these areas.
So now when you know how cool savory-sweet the whole drill is, why not check out the official page at the cooking institute for more details? Simply visit tcl.edu/culinary-institute.
