The festival is spread out over multiple venues, 8 to be precise, ranging from intimate corners like the Jazz Corner for a cozy evening with dinner to more spacious grounds like the Liberty Oak at Harbor Town.
The goal is for residents and tourists to explore and enjoy the Lowcountry while fostering the spirit of community. As summer winds down on Hilton Head Island, the festival is seen as an opportunity for island residents to reconnect with one another after a busy period. According to the director of Cultural Affairs, Natalie Harvey, “September is a great time to be here. We kind of look at this songwriter’s festival as being the first of many great events that builds our community here on Hilton Head.”
