Jasper County Floral Designer Linda Dailey Marks 45 Years of Creating Beautiful Memories

Jasper County’s Floral Queen Celebrates 45 Years of Designing Beautiful Memories

Welcome to the charming town of Jasper County, where the world of floral arrangement is shining a little brighter this holiday season! At the heart of it all is Linda Dailey, a beloved floral designer who is buzzing with joy as she celebrates her 45th anniversary in the business. Her artistry at Double LL Florist is transforming spaces into magical wonderlands adorned with festive wreaths, colorful bouquets, and that feel-good holiday charm.

A Passion Ignited

Linda’s journey into floral design began back in 1977 when her mother insisted she attend John Hall Floral School in Savannah. “I can still remember the day I walked into that classroom filled with flowers. It was love at first sight!” Linda recalls, her eyes twinkling with memories. Right after graduating, Linda started her career at The Ridgeland Flower Shoppe, learning the ropes and cultivating her passion under the guidance of John and Peggy McDougall.

Although her career took a brief detour into the world of insurance, she soon realized that her heart belonged in the floral field. “I had to get back to my flowers,” she said, and of course, she did. Taking the reins as the manager of Lady Bug Flower Shoppe in Hampton, she was able to pour her creativity into every centerpiece, bouquet, and arrangement.

The Birth of Double LL Florist

Linda’s floral adventure faced another twist when the Lady Bug Flower Shoppe closed its doors. She then worked as a fabric specialist at Kwalu, a furniture manufacturer, until it too moved operations to Mexico. But the love for flowers proved too strong. With lots of people reaching out for her floral skills, Linda decided to open up her very own establishment—Double LL Florist. “I opened the shop in 2018, right next to my home, and what a great decision it has been!” she exclaimed. “I’m busier than ever while still having time for other activities.”

A Community Connection

When you step into Double LL Florist at 448 Cat Branch Road, you can feel the warmth and creativity flowing through. Linda is not just a floral designer but also an active member of her community. She’s involved with Pine Level Baptist Church, chairs the Gopher Hill Festival, and organizes the annual Miss Jasper County pageant. She takes great pride in nurturing her family as well; her two granddaughters, Ameila and Madeline Johnson, spend about four days a week helping out in the shop. “They love it, and it makes my heart so happy to have them with me,” said Linda.

A Family Affair

Of course, it’s not just the grandkids who lend a hand. Linda’s husband, Brent, plays the role of the trusty delivery guy during the holidays, with support from Rachel Cope, who knows the town’s ins and outs like the back of her hand. It really is a family-run affair here at Double LL Florist!

A Commitment That Knows No Bounds

When asked how long she plans to keep the floral magic alive, Linda’s heartwarming response is a testament to her passion: “I’ll be in the flower shop with a walker, that’s how much I love it!” Her enduring commitment to her craft is not just about flowers; it’s about bringing joy and beauty to those around her.

If you’re looking to brighten up your holiday season or need that perfect gift, give Linda a call at (843) 258-4008 and pay a visit to Double LL Florist—where creativity blossoms and each arrangement tells a story of love, passion, and community spirit!
