Exciting New Take-and-Bake Pizza Comes to Ridgeland
Just when you thought Ridgeland couldn’t get any better, guess what? Papa Murphy’s Pizza has opened its doors at 46 Terrace Drive, bringing a fresh twist to the pizza scene! The grand opening was on July 25, and it’s been a hit ever since. If you haven’t heard about this delightful place yet, don’t worry—you’re about to!
A Unique Spin on Pizza
So, what’s all the fuss about this new pizza joint? Well, they’ve introduced a clever concept known as “take and bake.” This means you get to pick from a selection of gourmet pizzas made with fresh dough and top-notch toppings. But here’s the catch: instead of enjoying it straight away, you take it home, pop it in your oven, and bake it to perfection. This way, you can savor the freshest pizza possible right when you’re ready to eat!
Community Matters
Meet the heart and soul behind this venture—Aaron Bonner, the proud owner! He’s on a mission that goes beyond just serving delicious pizza; he genuinely wants to be part of the community. “I want to try to provide what we have to those who need it and be completely involved in the community,” Bonner explains passionately.
Bonner, who hails from Denver, Colorado, is a retired Navy veteran with an impressive 22-year military career. He moved to the Lowcountry when his wife, Kristina, received orders for a dentist position at Parris Island. Aaron’s military experience has shaped his approach to business, emphasizing leadership and communication with both customers and staff. Currently, he employs 17 people and aims for future expansion into Beaufort!
Gourmet Pizza That Cares
One interesting aspect of Papa Murphy’s is that their pizzas are crafted to fit nutritional guidelines for schools and organizations. This means those cheesy, pepperoni goodness can also be guilt-free, allowing you to indulge while knowing it meets certain health standards. No freezers or ovens clutter the environment, ensuring that everything is freshly prepared just for you.
A Good Spot for Good Pizza
Bonner chose this location strategically. Positioned along the main route to travel on Highway 170 and close to Sun City and Bluffton, it’s in an area that sees plenty of foot and car traffic. “This is an optimal location,” he mentions with pride. Although Papa Murphy’s may not be a household name in the Lowcountry just yet, Bonner grew up enjoying their pizzas and felt it was time to share the love with his neighbors.
Commitment to the Community
Bonner’s passion for giving back doesn’t stop at delicious food. He aims to engage with the community through fundraisers and other initiatives to lend a helping hand. “I want to completely involve the community into the business and give as much back as I can,” he states, showing a heart that reaches beyond just profits.
Looking Forward
With the strong start marked by what reports suggest are great sales, it seems Papa Murphy’s Pizza is here to stay. As Bonner envisions expansion, it’s clear that he has not only brought a tasty experience to Ridgeland but also a sense of camaraderie and community spirit. So, if you’re in the area and craving a culinary experience made from fresh ingredients—remember, take it and bake it!
Grab a pizza, bake it at home, and enjoy a slice of community spirit along with every bite.
