Enmarket Supports Local United Way Organizations with Generous $28,277 Donation

Enmarket’s Generous Donation to Local United Way Organizations

In a heartwarming show of community support, Enmarket, a well-loved convenience store chain based in Savannah, has donated a whopping 28,277.29 dollars to nine United Way organizations across three states. The announcement on September 3 brought smiles to many faces, especially for those involved with the United Way of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, which stands to benefit greatly from this generous contribution.

Community Spirit at its Best

The incredible donation was made possible largely due to the kind-hearted customers who participated in an in-store round-up campaign. Shoppers at 110 locations had the option to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the extra change going directly to the United Way. It shows just how powerful community spirit can be when everyone lends a hand!

Matt Clements, the President of Enmarket, shared his pride in how the entire campaign unfolded. “We are proud that 110 locations participated in this fundraising drive, where customers had the option to round up their purchase, with the change going to United Way,” he said. It truly exemplifies how a little change can make a big change in the community.

The Role of United Way

United Way is a remarkable organization known for bringing together hundreds of community leaders, professionals, and diligent volunteers. They work tirelessly in various aspects, from fundraising to marketing and making sure that funds are directed where they will be most needed. Thanks to Enmarket’s recent donations, these organizations can enhance their capabilities to provide essential services to those most in need.

A Family Tradition of Giving

Enmarket’s contribution is not just a momentary gesture, but a continuation of a long-standing relationship between the company and the United Way. As part of the Colonial Group family of companies, Enmarket holds a deep commitment to community initiatives. Colonial Group has built its foundation on community values since its inception in 1921 and continues to support the United Way through generous donations and employee contributions that are matched by the company.

Benefiting Local Communities

The donations are set to be used at the discretion of each of the United Way recipients, ensuring the funds will directly impact the communities in need. Other organizations receiving funds alongside the United Way of Beaufort include:

  • Greater Valdosta United Way
  • Trident United Way (North Charleston, S.C.)
  • United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County (Asheville, N.C.)
  • United Way of Central Georgia (Macon)
  • United Way of Coastal Georgia (Brunswick)
  • United Way of South Central Georgia (Tifton)
  • United Way of Southeast Georgia (Statesboro)
  • United Way of the Coastal Empire (Savannah)

Kimberly Waller, the President and CEO of the United Way of the Coastal Empire, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Enmarket’s support is a testament to the power of community collaboration. These funds will greatly enhance our ability to provide essential services to those in need, and we are incredibly grateful for their generosity.”

A Brighter Future for All

As one can see, Enmarket’s donation will undoubtedly play a significant role in supporting various community initiatives throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. It’s inspiring to witness how contributions—from small change to corporate generosity—combine to uplift the communities we live in.

Let’s hope that more local businesses follow suit, ensuring that our communities continue to thrive and support those who need it the most.
