The 64th annual Beaufort Water Festival was successfully launched with a multitude of delighted attendees. The region’s esteemed organizations such as the League of Women Voters Beaufort and Indivisible Beaufort also made their presence known at the event, engaging in a peaceful Lights for Liberty vigil. They protested against the U.S. detention camps positioned along the southern border, highlighting their commitment to human rights and community activism.

Moore triumphed at the 50-mile Cremator Ultra endurance race, running from Beaufort Town Center to St. Helena Island and back, twice. July 17, 2021: Promotion in Karate – A New Achievement for Beaufort
Beaufort’s karate sports sphere also witnessed an inspiring story the following year. Beaufort Karate Instructor Chuck Elias won a huge accolade by being promoted to the ranks of a ninth-degree Black Belt at the United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF) International Training Conference in Las Vegas.
Accredited by the famous martial artist Chuck Norris, Elias was one of only ten individuals promoted to ninth-degree black belts globally. His achievement sparked a wave of celebration and pride across the Beaufort community.
