A report of a shooting at the Ashley Point Apartments on Carolina Wren Drive heralded sadness for the community on July 4. Responding promptly around 7:17 p.m., officers discovered a single shooting victim with a wound. Vigorously, they rendered assistance until the Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Department and Beaufort County EMS arrived at the scene.

Victim’s Condition

After initial medical assistance on-site, the victim was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Following preliminary treatment, the victim was shifted to a superior medical facility in Charleston, indicating serious injuries. The condition of the victim remains undisclosed as law enforcement and healthcare professionals actively work on the situation.

While the victim’s struggle for recovery commences, finding the person responsible for this act of brazen brutality is at the forefront of the Beaufort Police Department’s actions.
