Getting to the scene, the officers had a chat with a few good eyewitnesses. They managed to scoop up a partial license plate and some details about the vehicle. But alas! The car was nowhere to be found.
Come Friday morning, our officers got busy shaking down local businesses with security cameras in downtown Beaufort. Their persistence paid off – they found clearer images of our mystery vehicle and its license plate.
