Beaufort Welcomes New Retailers as Development Continues
The charming city of Beaufort is buzzing with excitement as the final tenants of the main building in the Beaufort Station have officially opened their doors! But the good news doesn’t stop there. Developers are now gearing up to unveil a number of smaller storefronts that line S.C. 170, giving residents more shopping options right in their backyards.
New Eateries and Services Coming Soon
Just off Robert Smalls Parkway, area shoppers can look forward to some popular names joining the already familiar Mattress Firm. In the coming weeks, Chicken Salad Chick, Panda Express, Surcheros Fresh Mex, America’s Best Eyeglasses, and Fifth Third Bank will all be setting up shop! It’s wonderful to see so many choices popping up; you might just want to grab some Chicken Salad for lunch after picking up a new pair of glasses!
On the Horizon: ALDI and More
Speaking of exciting additions, let’s talk about the highly anticipated ALDI grocery store. If you’ve been counting down the days for its opening, you might have to hang tight a little longer. The new location is expected to break ground this fall, but the grand opening is looking like it might stretch into next year. Even though Bluffton already opened its ALDI store earlier this year, Beaufort residents are eager to see what the German-founded grocery chain has in store for them.
Developers also have their sights set on northern Hilton Head Island, with plans already in play to bring yet another ALDI to that area. It seems this grocery trend is on a roll!
The Shopping Center Takes Shape
As the excitement around new openings builds, it’s worth noting how much growth has already occurred at Beaufort Station. The main shopping center now boasts an impressive lineup of stores, including well-known names like PetSmart, HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx, Ulta Beauty, Old Navy, and many more! With these additions, Beaufort Station is shaping up to become a one-stop shop for the community.
The center, situated at the intersection of Robert Smalls Parkway and Parris Island Gateway, conveniently sits across from Beaufort’s Walmart and the Cross Creek shopping mall, making it easily accessible for shoppers.
Room for Growth
The developers aren’t finished yet! Though many spaces are already filled, there’s still a chance for even more growth. As of now, six spots in the smaller buildings and an additional one-acre parcel located just south of the Parker’s Kitchen construction site are available for lease. With this ongoing development, it seems like Beaufort Station is just getting started!
Major Investment in the Community
A significant investment is being poured into this project. Between The Morgan Companies – the brains behind the retail center – and the tenants, nearly $60 million will be dedicated to this venture. As stated by Trey Morgan, the president of the agency, this 31-acre parcel is one of the largest in Beaufort, and the shopping center itself will be among the biggest stretches between Charleston and Savannah.
In a community that values local businesses and convenient shopping experiences, the developments at Beaufort Station are sure to enhance the lifestyles of its residents. With more options coming soon, it’s the perfect time for Beaufort locals and visitors alike to get excited about what’s unfolding in their beloved town.
