Beaufort Welcomes Fishing Enthusiasts to Free Clinics Held by SCDNR at Broad River Fishing Pier

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) has announced it will be conducting free fishing clinics in the scenic coastal city of Beaufort, famous for its historical attractions and rich sea-island culture. The events, designed to educate participants about the fundamentals of the sport, will be hosted at the Broad River Fishing Pier on two different dates.

The first clinic is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m. A second session will follow on Tuesday, August 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. These educational gatherings are open to the public, with participants required to pre-register due to limited slots. Each session can accommodate only 12 aspiring anglers, ensuring that each participant receives individual attention for a more effective learning experience.

Detailed Instruction and Hands-On Experience

The clinics will provide both theoretical and practical instruction. Participants will learn the art of casting, understand the different types of bait and tackle, discover how to identify various fish species, and understand the regulations governing recreational fishing.
