Charles Schwab and Wells Fargo Advisors Rejoice Over New Beaufort County Internship Program

Businesses in Beaufort, SC including Charles Schwab and Wells Fargo Advisors, have a reason to rejoice the forthcoming Beaufort County Internship Program, which is set to launch in August 2024. Councilman Tom Reitz and Dr. Frank Rodriquez, Superintendent of the Beaufort County School District, who share an extraordinary vision for local economic growth and education, have trailblazed this program.

An Internship Program with a Core Benefit for All

The ambitious structure of the Beaufort County Internship Program uniquely educates high school and college students in county government affairs. This insight prepares them for potential employment within the county in the future. Further sweetening this initiative, the 15-week internship program offers participants the opportunity to earn $15 per hour for up to 15 hours of work per week.

He was also encouraged that Gullah students on St. Helena Island were among the first to know about the internship program.

Rolling Out Applications- Beaufort Prepared

Applications for the program are already being accepted online. In-person applications can be picked up at CCAN on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10 a.m. and noon, and on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The location for CCAN is 808 Sea Island Parkway on St. Helena Island.
