The median home price in Beaufort County was listed at $616,169 in June, down 0.5% from May’s $619,000, and 3.6% lower compared to June of the previous year which was $639,427, according to an analysis of data from Realtor.com. The data reflects only listed properties in Beaufort County, excluding sold properties or fresh constructions.

Beaufort County Housing Market Overview

The median home listed for sale in Beaufort County spanned 1,973 square feet, priced at $371 per square foot, representing a decrease of 1.4% per square foot from the same period in 2023. Properties were listed for a median of 59 days in June, exhibiting a slower turnover than the national median of 45 days. In May, houses in the county were listed for 51 days on average.

New listings in Beaufort were down by nearly 9.6%, with 508 houses listed in June as compared to 562 in June 2023. However, these stats cover only single-family homes, condominiums, and townhouses, and do not include fresh constructions, pending, and contingent sales.

Median home prices in South Carolina saw a minor increase, reaching $359,990. The median home size in the state was 1,810 square feet, with a valuable listing price of $206 per square foot.

National Housing Market Overview

Nationally, the median home price rose slightly to $445,000. The median American home listed for sale in June covered 1,868 square feet, with a listing price of $233 per square foot.
