Beaufort County Democratic Party Opens a Second Office in Town

Hey, Beaufort folks! Here’s a piece of fresh-off-the-stove news for you! Our very own Beaufort County Democratic Party (BCDP) just opened a new office right here in Beaufort at the Black Chamber of Commerce building on Bladen Street. This exciting news drops as the 2024 general election swings into full gear.

Kamala Harris: A Progressive Figurehead

For those who’ve been living under a rock, the Democratic nominee for the presidency is none other than the glass ceiling breaker, Kamala Harris. If she lands the top job, she will make history as the first Black/Asian-American woman president in U.S. history, pretty cool, right?

However, this isn’t the only groundbreaking news. This year the BCDP is making waves with a full list of local, state House, and state Senate candidates. This includes a whopping nine women, and get this, eight of them are running for the first time. Talk about shaking things up!

Democratic Support in Beaufort

According to the BCDP Chair, Kathleen Hughes, the enthusiasm around Harris’s nomination is sky-high. But it’s not just about her. They want people to know that they have some pretty impressive representatives running in other areas too. It seems like people from all walks of life are ready for a change, and boy are the Democrats keen to deliver!

Hughes stated, “Opening a new office here in Beaufort will be crucial in supporting our candidates and executing our ground-organizing efforts.” Makes sense, right?

New Office Location

Before you start asking, the BCDP’s main office is still at 39 Persimmon Street, Suite 201 in Bluffton. This new one is what they call a satellite office, fancy right? You can find it at 711 Bladen Street, Suite 310 in Beaufort. If you need more information, feel free to hop onto their website at www.beaufortcountydems.org. You’re welcome!

Final Thoughts

This upcoming election is definitely shaping up to be an interesting one. Whatever your political stances are, we can all agree that it’s great to see so many new faces and women shaking up the candidate pool. It feels like change is coming, and it’ll be fun to see how it all unfolds. Stay tuned!
