Beaufort County Animals Services Joins National Empty the Shelters Event
The Beaufort County Animal Services has announced its involvement in a national initiative, ‘Empty the Shelters’, bringing new hope for homeless pets in the region.
Empty the Shelters: A Ray of Hope
The ‘Empty the Shelters’ campaign, being operational from July 8 to 31, is an essential initiative aimed at finding safe and caring homes for pets. Shelters across the nation are currently facing myriad challenges, including the evacuation of animals due to wildfires and tornadoes and the potential euthanization of adoptable pets due to overcrowding.
“Shelters are struggling with a variety of challenges right now – some are evacuating pets because of wildfires, tornadoes, or even loss of air conditioning in extreme heat, and others are overcrowded and having to euthanize highly adoptable pets to make space, a tragic situation,” highlights Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation.
BISSELL Pet Foundation: the Power Behind Empty the Shelters
To curb this escalating issue, the BISSELL Pet Foundation has stepped in to sponsor this event. It supports the reduction of adoption fees — down to $50 or even less per cat or dog — during the Empty the Shelters event.
Such a measure is set to help shelter pets find the love and warmth of lifelong homes, proving to be an invaluable ray of hope in these trying times.
Shaping a Better Future for Beaufort’s Pets
Beaufort County Animal Services is thus contributing actively to this essential cause. By joining their efforts with the national campaign, the service aims to drastically reduce the number of homeless animals in the local region.
As the community rallies behind this initiative, supporters are eager to see the incredible impact the combined efforts will bring to the homeless pets in need.
For individuals interested in changing a pet’s life forever and offering a warm, loving home, this is the perfect opportunity. To learn more about the event and how to participate, interested parties are encouraged to visit the Beaufort County Animal Services website.
A Phase of Positive Change
As the Empty the Shelters event takes place nationwide, the vision is to bring about positive change for the previously grim fate faced by many shelter animals. The collaboration of services such as the Beaufort County Animal Services with the BISSELL Pet Foundation helps pave the way towards a brighter future for pets across the nation.
