Beaufort Beckons the Circus – Big Top Event Coming Up

Hey there, folks! We’re here with some thrilling news that’s going to make your eyes pop and jaws drop. Guess what’s rolling into town? Clue: It’s full of acrobats, daredevils, and clowns! That’s right, the circus is coming to our lovely town of Beaufort.

Zerbini Family Circus Comes to Beaufort

Mark your calendars for September 23rd through 29th, folks. The Zerbini Family Circus is bringing a stunning spectacle of acrobatics, trapeze acts, and some awe-inspiring daredevilry right here to Beaufort. They’re tagging themselves as “the greatest one-ring circus to travel the US”, and we’re pretty stoked to see what they’ve got.

Imagine the thrill of sitting under the bright silk tent, listening to the laughter, and watching the acrobats flying overhead. Watch out for those clown faces! Trust us, this is gonna be some event! And the best part? The circus is setting up shop at 12 Sammie Lane, just off of Castle Rock Road. So, no worries about driving all the way out of town.

History of the Zerbini Family Circus

Now, this isn’t just any circus. The Zerbini family has been thrilling audiences with their performing prowess since around 1817, believe it or not. Eight generations of circus performers have descended from this family, starting their tradition in Europe before making their way to the US in 1968. Since then, the family has continued to keep the circus spirit alive, performing all around the country.

It was in the early 1990s that Alain Zerbini, recovering from a high-wire fall, decided to start his own circus. Today, the Zerbini Family Circus brings together 22 performers from all around the world, including his wife and two of his children. Each year, they wow audiences with around 100 shows across the country.

What’s in Store?

So, what can we look forward to? Well, apart from high-wire acts, trapeze, trampoline feats, and acrobatics, we’ll also get the pleasure of seeing performing animals- a buffalo, ponies, camels and even some rescue dogs from local shelters. And of course, there’s going to be some clowning around. It is a circus, after all.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the circus are priced at $15 for adults and $7 for kids. But, hey, here’s a nifty tip – kids can usually get in free with paid adult admission if you get a free online coupon closer to the show dates. They even have early bird ticket specials online, so keep your peepers peeled for those. Little ones aged 3 and under can join the fun for free!
