Exciting Times in Beaufort: St. Peter’s Annual Fall Bazaar and More!

Get ready, Beaufort! The time of year we all look forward to is almost here. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the Saint Peter’s Catholic Church is throwing its 64th Annual Fall Bazaar, and it promises to be a fantastic day full of fun, food, and festivities! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the church campus at 70 Lady’s Island Drive will be buzzing with activities that the whole family can enjoy.

What’s Happening at the Bazaar?

This year, you can treat your taste buds to a selection of international foods that reflects the diverse flavors of our community. Whether you are in the mood for something savory or sweet, there will be something to delight everyone! And if you’re into crafts, make sure to check out the craft fair, featuring talented local artisans showcasing their handcrafted goodies.

Are you a fan of sweets? Don’t miss the sweet shoppe, where you can find delicious treats to satisfy your sugar cravings. If you’re feeling lucky, join the silent auction, which will take place both in-person and online. Imagine scoring some great deals while supporting a good cause!

Fun for the Kids!

If you have little ones in tow, the Kids Zone is designed just for them! With inflatables, games, and even the Beaufort Barnyard Petting Zoo, your kids are set to have a blast while you enjoy the atmosphere.

A Wonderful Cause

The best part? All proceeds from the bazaar will benefit Lowcountry Outreach, a ministry of the church that provides valuable support to local nonprofits and offers services like transportation options for those who need a helping hand. By attending the bazaar, not only will you have a wonderful time, but you’ll also be giving back to the community!

Other Events Happening on October 5

It’s not just the bazaar heating up the day! At the same time, the Indivisible Beaufort will hold a meeting at the Beaufort Downtown Library at 11 a.m.. Barbara Nash will lead the discussion on Project 2025. If you’re curious about the implications of this project and how it might impact community policies, this meeting is a great chance to learn more!

Barbara comes with a wealth of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and a former candidate for the South Carolina House of Representatives. She’s committed to advocating for issues that matter, especially in healthcare and education. This event is free and open to the public, so swing by if you can!

Keeping the Community Informed

Before you head to the bazaar or the meeting, do you have any questions about your property? Beaufort County Assessor Ebony Sanders is hosting several community events at local libraries throughout October and November. These gatherings will provide opportunities for residents to voice their concerns regarding real property. Check the event times at the respective libraries to plan your visit.

Community Reminders

Lastly, make sure to keep an eye on local traffic as construction continues on Laurel Bay Road. Temporary lane closures may cause minor delays, so be patient and stay safe while traveling around town.

All in all, October 5 is shaping up to be an engaging day here in Beaufort! So gather your family and friends, mark your calendars, and get ready to dive into some incredible local culture at the Fall Bazaar and other community events!
