Convicted Murderer in Beaufort Receives Additional Life Sentence for Sexual Assault
A man from Shell Point, already serving a 40-year-long sentence for murder, has had a life term added to his punishment, this time for a sexual assault offence. This latest judgement ensures he will remain in prison without the prospect of parole.
Guilty Verdict and Additional Sentencing
Brian David Walls, the convict in question, was tried by a jury at the Beaufort County General Sessions and found guilty of multiple charges. This last Wednesday, Walls, aged 43, was convicted of first-degree criminal sexual assault, kidnapping, and the unauthorized use of a vehicle. As a result, he received a life sentence without the possibility of parole for his sexual assault charge, due to South Carolina’s two-strikes law. Alongside this, he was slapped with another life sentence for kidnapping, and a three-year sentence for unauthorized use of a vehicle. Walls is to serve all these sentences consecutively.
Walls was already serving a hefty sentence for the murder of Teresa Siegler, a disabled 56-year-old neighbor of his. Officials from the 14th Circuit Court report that the sexual assault occurred just days following the murder.
Long History of Criminal Acts
Reflecting on the outcome of the case, Sean Thornton from the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office commented, “In just a few days, Brian Walls managed to murder a neighbor and sexually assault a family friend. He is among the worst types of predators – one who responds to kindness with brutality.”
Walls’ criminal history isn’t restricted to only these serious offences. His earlier convictions include charges for simple assault, fraud, multiple counts of simple possession of marijuana, several counts of assault and battery, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The latest ruling ensures that Walls will spend the rest of his life behind bars. It’s a heavy sentence and a strong message to other would-be offenders, underscoring the serious consequences of rejecting societal norms and engaging in criminal activity.
