A report of a shooting at the Ashley Point Apartments on Carolina Wren Drive heralded sadness for the community on July 4. Responding promptly around 7:17 p.m., officers discovered a single shooting victim with a wound. Vigorously, they rendered assistance until the Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Department and Beaufort County EMS arrived at the scene.
Victim’s Condition
After initial medical assistance on-site, the victim was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Following preliminary treatment, the victim was shifted to a superior medical facility in Charleston, indicating serious injuries. The condition of the victim remains undisclosed as law enforcement and healthcare professionals actively work on the situation.
