Owner Tim Lovett opened Higher Ground in October 2010 after 19 years of sporting goods retail experience in Beaufort. The business began in a small 1200 sq. ft shop with a 35′ outdoor climbing wall, later moving to a larger 4000 sq. ft space.

They are the authorized dealer for many amazing products, including kayaks, camping gear, clothing, surfboards, skateboards, and hiking equipment. Located at 95 Factory Creek Ct, Higher Ground Outfitters is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
