News Summary

The Beaufort Twilight Run (BTR) is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Habersham Marketplace, featuring a variety of races to raise funds for local education. Proceeds will support Riverview Charter School, enhancing student experiences through Capstone trips and field trips. With six race categories, prizes, and a community after party, this event promises to be both a fitness celebration and a fundraising opportunity.

Beaufort Gears Up for the Exciting Twilight Run!

Get ready, Beaufort! The highly anticipated Beaufort Twilight Run (BTR) is set to light up our community on Saturday, March 22, 2025, and it’s promising a fantastic day filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit! With activities kicking off at Habersham Marketplace from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

A Fundraiser with a Heart

The Twilight Run is not just about running; it’s a chance to give back to our local education. All proceeds will benefit Riverview Charter School, a cherished institution serving young minds from kindergarten through eighth grade right here in Beaufort County. The funds raised will help support essential student Capstone trips and enriching local field trips, ensuring our kids have extraordinary experiences during their educational journey.

Exciting Races Await

What makes the BTR stand out? It’s all about the variety! Dubbed “The Lowcountry’s Running Festival,” this event boasts more race options than any other in the area. Participants can choose from six thrilling race categories:

  • 13.1 Mile Beaufort Challenge (that’s a 5K Run followed by a 10 Mile)
  • 10 Mile Run
  • 8K Run
  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 1 Mile Youth Run
  • Kids’ Fun Run

It is exciting to note that this is one of only two events in South Carolina offering a 10-Mile run! And don’t worry—these race courses are perfectly flat and made for spectators, set against a backdrop of stunning marsh views and majestic live-oak canopies.

Be Ready for Prizes and Awards!

Competitors can look forward to some sweet rewards. Cash prizes will be awarded in the 13.1 Mile Beaufort Challenge, 10 Mile Run, 8K Run, and 5K Run, with awards for male and female winners in each category, including special recognitions for active-duty military participants. Plus, age group winners will receive exclusive BTR swag to commemorate their accomplishment!

A Day Full of Activities

Mark your calendars because this day is packed with exciting moments. Late registration kicks off at 2 p.m. at the Habersham Fire Station (cash and credit card, please!). Here’s a quick rundown:

  • 3:30 p.m. — Youth 1 Mile Run for ages 5-14
  • 4:00 p.m. — Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run for ages 8 and under
